I’m writing, recording and performing music for an adapted version of Christina Rossetti’s ‘Goblin Market’ being put on by the award-winning Liverpool University Drama Society.
The production will have an eastern European edge to it, with an emphasis on gypsy culture, so I’m bringing out the Balalaika and there will be live recordings of some harp too (played by Sarah Peverley). The show itself will be previewing in Liverpool near the end of July, eventually ending up at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. The people amongst the cast and crew are all very talented so it’s a really exciting time for everyone involved!
Check out two previews of the soundtrack here (or find them in the Soundcloud player above) and my profile on the show’s website here.
